Therefore, in this research work a Discrete Event Simulation model of a food industry is presented. The model simulates the operation of the factory and creates a set of performance measures, which enable the user to evaluate the operation of the food industry. A set of experiments based on the utilization of real-life data, coming from a Typical Food Industry (TFI) have been conducted in order to validate and test the developed simulation model.
