At the same time, by becoming more flexible, they are able to meet the need for customized parts, potentially leading to uncertainties in performance. So, there is need for dynamic and/or adaptive LCA, continuously updating the estimations with respect to the environmental footprint of the production by considering energy exchange and material consumption. This work describes a decision support tool that supports Dynamic LCA adoption via a software, indicating the efficiency of the production under different process parameters and materials while offering guidelines for trustful energy measurements.

Keywords: LCA, Dynamic LCA, Environmental sustainability, Efficient production, Decision support platform

Video presentation

Presenting author

Name:

Affiliation:

Email:

Alexios Papacharalampopoulos

University of Patras, Greece

apapacharal@lms.mech.upatras.gr

by Alexios Papacharalampopoulos, Konstantinos Tzimanis, Panagiotis Stavropoulos (Greece) Abstract Industries adopt sustainable-related policies, integrating technologies and methods from process to factory level.
