However, building processes which utilize vibrations, such as compaction work, can have a significant influence on the achievable quality of, e.g., selective laser melting (SLM) processes. The vibrations generated by reconstruction measures are transmitted through the fundament into the machine tools and result in deflections of process-relevant components. In order to analyse the influence of transmitted vibrations on machines, this paper presents a simulation approach which reproduces the propagation behaviour within the fundament and can be used to evaluate the impact on production processes.

Keywords: Selective laser melting (SLM), Vibration, Modelling

Video presentation

Presenting author

Name:

Affiliation:

Email:

Eva Jaeger

Technical University Dortmund, Germany

eva.jaeger@tu-dortmund.de

by Eva Jaeger, Kai Weist, Mike Gralla, Petra Wiederkehr (Germany) Abstract Reconstruction measures are often carried out parallel to production processes.
