Hello Mr. Dillinger,
thank you for the interesting presentation. I am very excited about this topic.
I have a question about the identified technologies of Industry 4.0: How did you define the term “technologies of Industry 4.0”. It is because you consider in your concept “horizontal integration” as well as “digital twins”. A digital twin is a technology that can be implemented, however, how do you implement the aims of Industry 4.0, the horizontal and vertical integration?
Thank you for your response.
According to Ruessmann et al. we define “horizontal & vertical integration” as technology fields. Which include various elements like, e.g. MES. So it is not a single technology that can easily be implemented. However, it is important to us to show the interconnection of horizontal integration to the lean management methods & principles.
